Dear College Parents

We continue to hope for rain; the promising frontal systems keep getting pushed to the south east of Cape Town by the strong high pressure systems off our coastline. The same scenario seems to be playing itself out on Sunday and Monday, some rain expected but don’t hold your breath!

Over the next few weeks we enter our mid-year exam time with Grade 10s, 11s and 12s starting on Monday 21st May and the Grade 8s and 9s on Wednesday 30th May. It is a difficult period for the boys as they juggle their academic and sporting demands, and we wish them well.

I do want to mention the superb performance by our a Capella group, Simply Blue, last week in their combined concert with the Hershel group Fusion. Their repertoire, energy and enthusiasm is truly fantastic. They are preparing for their tour to Greece in the June/July holidays.

This weekend we continue our winter sports programme with home rugby matches against Boland Landbou and hockey away against DF Malan. I have been very pleased with the determination, commitment and skill of our boys so far this season and we look forward to a good day tomorrow. Next week we enjoy home matches against Wynberg Boys High.

Please see the attached assembly notices and my message to the boys.

Have a wonderful weekend and we wish all our Muslim boys, staff and parents a happy Ramadan.

Yours sincerely

Guy Pearson
