Today the College will bid farewell to the 2019 Matric class at their Valedictory Service. Last week we invited all our past Prep boys, now in Matric, down to a function in Jagger Hall together with their parents to meet and re-connect with their “old” teachers. This was the first time we have done this in this way and it proved to be a very nostalgic and inspiring evening. The boys walked around the campus reminiscing, fascinated by all the changes; parents loved having a chance to get back together with the Prep group and teachers could not believe how tall, even unrecognisable, some of our Prep boys had become. Everyone commented on how quickly five years had gone and how nice it was to be back at the Prep. We wish the Matric boys all the best with their exams and their future endeavours.

SUMMER UNIFORM
We have now moved over to summer uniform. A reminder about the following:

• Only the jersey and/or blazer is worn with khakis in summer.
  
• Tracksuit only with sports kit and only worn to school if boys have Phys Ed before break.
  
• Rain jacket only added to uniform when raining and not worn during the school day.

Boys are expected to have their shirt top button done up when wearing their tie. Now’s the time of the year where some of the growth spurts come through so please replace shirts where necessary.

Boys to wear No 1's

This is a whole school event, so due to space constraints, parents can unfortunately not be accommodated.

Book Sale

The Book People will be holding a book sale in the library next Wednesday and Thursday. Fiction and non-fiction will be on sale at reasonable prices. Cash and cards welcome. Boys will be given a flyer to take home on Monday.

Civvies Day

A Civvies Day will be held next Friday. To celebrate the opening of the new library, boys are asked to dress up as a favourite book character. In assembly the staff will put on a performance of a popular children's book. Boys are asked to bring R10 which will be used to buy books for St Paul's Primary, Athwood and VUSA.
