FRIDAY 18 May 2018
Dear Parents

We welcome back the boys and staff from the Dulwich Prep exchange who have returned with tales of very special experiences as well as very interesting ideas from their time at the school.

As you know, locally we enjoyed a whole school exchange with Laerskool Durbanville last Friday and Saturday, the first time we have moved every Prep boy to spend the day at another school. On the whole it was very successful as every boy had an opportunity to participate in an activity with Durbanville and some boys in a number.

A highlight for us was the fact that so many of our boys elected to be hosted by a Durbanville family on Friday night. Approximately 40% of boys from Grades 4-7 did so. It is such a good experience to go into a family’s home where everything is new, needing to connect and engage immediately and be a good guest. So I was pleased to hear many Durbanville parents comment positively on our boys’ manners and friendliness.

A good experience on many levels. There will be aspects to change but we look forward to hosting them next year at Bishops.

Our Muslim families this week entered the Holy Month of Ramadan and so we wish them Ramadan Mubarak.

Kind regards
