Dear Parents
Welcome back to school and some wonderful rain on Wednesday. May there be a lot more. We now have most of our toilets on borehole water and the water treatment plant at College is about to be rolled out. All this is on top of trying to use water as sparingly as possible.
The drought uniform continues with boys having to be in the correct kit as per the particular sport in which they are participating on that day. They know that only a tracksuit top may be worn with sports kit and not the school jersey. Tracksuits may be worn to school with sports kit or khakis now.
With the drought uniform it is very easy for boys to look untidy or sloppy; they do need to follow the sports uniform rules carefully and still look smart and appropriate.
Please note that if a boy forgets things at home he will not be allowed to phone you from the office, nor is he allowed to email you. If you notice that he has forgotten kit you may choose to drop it off at the office during the course of the morning but please note that it will not be delivered to his classroom nor will he be called to the office. He has to come and check. This is not to make life miserable for our boys but to train them in planning and packing for school the night before and learning to accept that if they do not do this, there are inconvenient consequences. Please do not take anything directly to his classroom for him.
We ask that you use the built in facilities of your son's iPad to manage security and restrictions or find a facility that does not use a VPN. The school has its own firewall and security facilities on the network and VPNs interfere with this, causing the iPad with a VPN to not function on the network.
All the best for this term.
Kind regards
GREG BROWN
