FRIDAY 2 March 2018
Dear Parents

While it has been a sad time for the school this past week, it was special to be at the service yesterday to celebrate the life of Father Terry Wilke in the most beautiful St George’s Cathedral. Please keep his wife Rosemary and family in your prayers.

It was wonderful to hear the news this week that Rowan Piorkowski has now finished his treatment and is home. His doctors have indicated that he could possibly start returning to school in two weeks.

We give our best wishes and richest blessings to Greg and Lynne Brown as they celebrate the marriage of their eldest son, Stuart on Saturday.

On Wednesday this week we hosted our second very successful Athletics meeting, the Quadrangular with WPPS, Wynberg and Rhenish as our guests. Well done to all the athletes.

May I remind you about the upcoming Bishops Prep Carnival on Friday March 16, Founders Day. This is a fundraiser but more importantly, an opportunity for community building and socialising as the Prep and Pre-Prep families come to together and have fun.

Kind Regards

Rob Riches
Deputy Headmaster

Visiting Author

On Tuesday Penny Haw, a local author, spoke to our Grade 4s, 5s and 6s about her book Nicko. It is the delightful true story of a vervet monkey on an African farm. (Mrs Kieswetter has copies in the library for loan purposes and copies for sale at R110.)

Prep Athletics

Well done to all the boys who participated in the very successful quadrangular on Wednesday. The results for Quadrangular can be found HERE and the results for the Pentagular can be found HERE.

VUSA

The Go-Karts built last year by the Grade 6's were donated to VUSA and provided lots of fun and entertainment!
