THURSDAY 8 August 2019
Dear Parents

As we go into a long weekend starting with Women’s Day tomorrow, we remember the history of the day going back to 1956 and the march of 20 000 women of all races on the Union Buildings to protest against the apartheid pass laws. We are also aware of the very high incidence of the abuse of women and children in our country and the drastic need to change gender perceptions, grow a culture of respect for all, to move away from all forms of toxic masculinity and improve the social fabric of society.

The weekend will be used at school to finalise the classroom IT set up in the new classrooms so that the big move can take place on Monday. A great relief for those who have been in “temporary lodgings”.

We wish all our Muslim families a Blessed Eid al-Adha on Monday.

Enjoy the weekend.

Kind regards

GREG BROWN
