Dear Parents
ENSEMBLE CONCERT
Last night the Memorial Chapel really was “alive with the sound of music” as more than 100 boys performed at our annual Ensemble Concert. With music from the sacred to modern secular, seven Ensembles, including choir, strings, brass, wind band and marimbas, delighted us with their delivery and high standard. The Music Department sets the bar high and our boys really do rise to the occasion. Congratulations to all involved.
INTER-SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY
This afternoon we will be hosting an Inter-Schools Cross Country event at Lutgensvale and the College lower campus. This is an event that will have a huge number of participants from across Cape Town. In order to make the route as safe as possible, the City Council are closing Riverton Road from 14h30 to 17h00 (from the Birkett Road intersection to past the College Riverton Road gate). In addition, we will close the Avenue from the College admin block to the back gate. So there will be no parking close to the venue. Good luck to all our participants.
GRADE 7 TOUR
Our Grade 7s leave on tour to Kwazulu-Natal on Tuesday until the end of the term. This will include sports matches as well as music concerts with two schools in Durban and Pietermaritzburg, as well as historical excursions and time at a fun adventure camp and eight nights away from home. This is a real highlight of the boys’ senior year and a great independence builder. I wish them safe travels and a very exciting and enriching experience.
EID
Eid falls next week so we want to wish all our Muslim families Eid Mubarak.
Kind regards
