Dear Parents

Despite the chilly mornings and intermittent rain, we have managed to get through an exciting and productive week. Play rehearsals are in full swing and we look forward to showcasing something special. Every Grade 1 and 2 boy has the opportunity to be on stage and this often takes the boys out of their comfort zone, but the learning that takes place during this process is immense. I have no doubt that you will be incredibly proud when you see your son on stage later in August. Video recordings will be done, edited and made available to order after the show, together with photographs.

I leave you with 5 affirmations for you to say to your child.
1. You make me smile
2. You’re so interesting
3. I love how your mind works
4. I'm so grateful to have you
5. You give the best hugs.

Try them, you would be intrigued by the responses you get. If you have time to give us some feedback, please do, even if it’s just in passing. Have a lovely weekend. Let's hope the sun makes an appearance sometime too.

Kind regards

DIARY DATES
Thursday 1 August Ticket Sales

Tickets will go on sale for our production of Aristocats Kids.  Please note ONLY CASH will be accepted at the School Uniform Shop for these tickets.  Each ticket is R75. We kindly ask that you are considerate when making your bookings to allow all families to secure a seat.  The show is on for four consecutive nights from 20 - 23 August in the Memorial Theatre.
Thursday 1 - Sat 3 August Conference

Some staff will be away on a conference but rest assured, your boys will be left in good hands with other teachers stepping in.  This is a conference in KZN that is immensely important for developing sound learning and where new and innovative methods and trends in education are discussed and introduced. We believe in staying updated with all the new information available and therefore empower our teachers in this way.
TAKE NOTE

Pizza

The boys enjoyed their first pizza day today. Thank you to all those that used the online order system. It has made the whole process a lot easier for the organisers.

Everyone is invited to pray as a group of parents for our boys, the staff, our school and our community on Tuesday mornings from 7:30am in the Woodlands Pavilion; it is a relaxed and informal time together where you can come and go as you wish, as we strengthen relationships over tea and coffee, and gather around an important area of life. You are welcome to contact Julie Lunn if you have any questions on 0828895597.
