Dear Parents

10 Teachers from Bishops Prep and Pre-Prep have been privileged to attend the Proudly Primary conference held at Highbury Primary in KZN. The theme for the conference is “Dare to be Great” We will share more about our experiences once we return but we are certainly here to gain knowledge, understanding and be inspired to bring back the newest and most positive trends in education. We trust that our school too, can be a space where boys can “dare to be great"

As we move into the weeks leading up to the play, we ask that you be patient and understanding with some boys that may display a little anxiety. Please, contact the class teacher should you have any concerns so that we can support them during this time. More and more rehearsals are taking place which takes them into unfamiliar spaces and being in and out the theatre, the old gym and other college rooms. This can be very stressful for some boys and we do understand this.

Wishing you and your families a wonderful weekend. We will all be back to business as usual on Monday.

Kind regards

SHARLENE GROOM

Just a friendly reminder that Tuesdays are the day we collect extra sandwiches for those in need. We have some new baskets in the foyer. Please remind your boys to place them in the beskets on Tuesday morning when they arrive at school.

Knitted Squares

On these cold and rainy nights, if there are any avid knitters out there, please remember we are still collecting knitted squares. These are used to make up blankets and these are distributed as needed.

Encourage your boys to think before they speak. Their words can be powerful, they can hurt or uplift. Remind them to think carefully about their words as every word they say counts for something.
