Dear Parents

I want to dedicate this newsletter to the Grade 2 boys and their parents who are leaving us to move over to the Prep school.  The memories, growth and development that you have shown in the past three years here, have been heartwarming to witness. The progress from toothless smiles, knock-knock jokes and not being sure if the Elf on the Shelf actually moves at night have all been part of this wonderful, exciting journey.  These little boys have become part of the Pre-Prep family and saying goodbye is not easy.  We always follow the journey of our boys, despite them being on another campus and it is wonderful to get a lovely smile or little wave when we see them out and about.  We do hope you will visit regularly and never forget all the exciting things you have leant here. 

My wish to all these amazing boys, who are ready to fly. Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners and doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground - Wilferd Peterson

End of Year School Closure

School closes at 09:30 after final assembly. Please remember there will be no Aftercare on that day.

Back to School

The 2019 school year will start at 08:00.

The day ends:

Grade N at 12:15; Grade R at 12:30; Grade 1 at 13:00; and Grade 2 at 13:10.

Sport 2019

Sport and the extramural programme will commence in the second week of term. Choice forms will be sent out on the first day of term. Please consult the online Extramural Programme on the Pre-Prep website. Please note there might be unavoidable changes to this programme before the start of the year.

Meetings

Meetings take place every Thursday during the term and will start again on Thursday, 25 January from 7:45 in the Art Room..

Library Book and Lost Property

Please would you check at home for any library books or any items of clothing, etc that might belong to someone else, and return them to school before the end of the term.

Also, Anothile Mpikashe's lunch box is missing, please would you check that it has not inadvertently ended up in your son's bag.

Thank you Assembly

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for our THANK YOU assembly on Monday.  We are sincerely grateful for all that you do to make our school the special home from home for your boys.  No matter how insignificant the thing you have to do, do it as well as you can, give it as much of your care and attention as you would give to the thing you regard as most important. - Words of Mahatma Gandhi.

I have had visits from every single recipient of the food hampers that were handed over to cleaning and security staff.  Their responses were so genuine and they have each asked me to convey their very sincere thanks to the parents and boys, for helping to make their Christmas extra special. Their beaming smiles were an indication of their thanks and I hope that this conveys their Thank You, sincerely and wholeheartedly.
