FRIDAY 30 September 2022
Dear Parents

The third term is always a long one and 2022 has been no exception. It has been packed with a huge number of activities and boys and staff really need a break. I have no doubt that you do too, a break from the school run, frantic mornings, checking homework and Saturday mornings.

Thank you for all your support this term; lifting to events, ensuring the right circumstances for homework, support at our sports fixtures and concerts, and so much more. The busier we are, the more your practical support is needed.

As you know, we do not have a report in the third term, but if you have not checked your son’s progress, please see this reminder as to how to access his marks on myBishopsLife.

Select the Academic menu in MyBishopsLife and choose Marks from the drop-down provided. On the Marks screen, please click on each listed subject. If you have any questions, please contact your son’s form or subject teacher directly.

Some housekeeping for the fourth term:

  • Please ensure your son’s hair is properly cut for the first day of school.
  • We go over to summer uniform from the beginning of term, so no tracksuit with khakis.
  • No rain jacket unless it is raining.

School opens on Tuesday, 11 October. It will be a short day and we close at 13h00 to allow for staff training. Please note that there will be no extra-murals on that day. Our extra-mural programme will start in full on Wednesday, 12 October. There will be a packed lunch for those who have hot lunch and aftercare will be operating.

The calendar has been updated for next term, so please do check for key events, especially those towards the end of term.

I want to thank our staff for providing such a full programme this term while keeping our boys focused on their academics throughout.

I hope you are able to enjoy some extra quality time with your boys over the next week. For those travelling, safe travels.

Kind regards

GREG BROWN
