THURSDAY 11 April 2024
Dear Parents

Welcome back to the 2nd term and the start of the winter season, with winter seeming to have arrived with alacrity.  I hope you were able to enjoy some relaxing time over the school holidays. Boys have returned excited and full of energy and are plunging themselves into all that the new term brings.

Today signals the end of Ramadan and we wish all our Muslim families a very Happy Eid, celebrating with family and friends.

Looking at the term ahead, it is also a short term with the last week being only three days and two public holidays that fall on Wednesdays. We have advised the boys that they have to approach their work seriously and with commitment right from the start of the term.

This weekend sees the 175 Skeeles 7s Rugby Festival with all boys from U10 to U13 participating, together with a number of other schools as well as our VUSA Academy. Our music pupils will showcase their progress in two evening concerts this term, the Beginners’ Concert on 15 May and the Ensemble Concert on 22 May. The Durbanville Exchange, involving all our boys, takes place on 24 and 25 May and more information on this will be sent out shortly.

We wish all our boys and their families a happy and fulfilling term at the Prep.

Kind regards

GREG BROWN
