Dear Parents

VUSA CYCLATHON

At Monday’s Chapel Assembly, we asked all the boys who had participated in the Cyclathon to stand up. I was truly thrilled to see more than half the school stand – a wonderful example of boys doing something for others, small in terms of the immensity of the needs, but requiring perseverance and drive in the moment. Many of you and our staff also participated, so it was a magnificent community event resulting in the raising of over R1.1 million, a substantial amount in support of our VUSA Rugby and Learning Academy in Langa.

Congratulations to the U13A rugby group who raised R130 000 and to the Grade 5 Wheelie Wonkas who raised R48 000.

2023 PREP MAGAZINE

The 2023 Magazine will soon go to print and, as with last year, each boy who was at the Prep or Pre-Prep in 2023, will receive a copy. The cost for each is R300 and this will be charged to your school fee account. However, we do understand if you do not wish to receive a physical copy (it will also be available digitally online). If this is the case, please email sjohnson@bishops.org.za to inform us accordingly.

There were some binding problems with a few magazines last year, but we have been assured that these problems have been sorted out.

Stay warm – hopefully warmer Spring days are close at hand.

Kind regards

GREG BROWN
