THURSDAY 30 January 2025
Dear Parents

HALF-TERM
As you know, the Prep will have no sport at the end of camp week, i.e. no sport or any other activities on Friday, 14 February and Saturday 15 February, for everyone. The College has introduced a half-term but in a different format, a holiday on Monday 24 February.  They will play sport on Friday 21 February and Saturday 22 February. Some parents may ask why we do not all close on Monday 24 February. However, our situations are different. We have a camp week, making it difficult to readily jump into water polo matches on the Friday afternoon for instance, so we have no fixtures, whereas the College plays all their fixtures on the Friday and Saturday and then takes a Monday off. As with the end of the 2nd and 4th terms, College closes a day before us – these decisions are based on the unique situation and events at that time in each section of the school.

If your son has a brother at College, do please still ensure that your Prep boy attends school on the Monday in question.

COMMUNICATIONS
A reminder that our main source of communication is the newsletter, the Prep Weekly Update, that appears every Thursday. We are trying to ensure that as much of our communication as possible appears there each week, or there is a link to another message /letter/announcement. You will see that there is a letter to Grade 7 parents re tours this year, in a link under TAKE Note.

MyBishopsLife remains a major source of communication and repository of information about your son. Please see under TAKE Note below for a reminder of the process in using this portal.

Kind regards
