Dear Parents
We are in week nine of the term with three more weeks of school to go before our mid-year holiday.
There are many exciting events ahead with the Grade 7s away for seven nights on their tour to KZN, the U13A rugby side participating in the Independent Schools Rugby Festival in Makhanda over the first weekend of the holidays, the traditional Rondebosch sports fixtures, along with all the normal academic and extra-curricular activities, including the senior boys rehearsing for their production of “Bugsy Malone”.
Boys can become quite casual at this stage of the term and it is important that they are appropriately kitted out until the end of term. Hair also needs to be neat and tidy. A number of boys have too much hair over their foreheads now, even though the sides and back might be fine; the rule of thumb is neat and tidy and not attracting attention. A reminder that extreme fades are not allowed. Please support us by ensuring that your son’s hair is cut now in a way that will last until the end of term. No boy likes to have his hair cut just before going off on holiday.
A reminder then too, that there will be rugby fixtures over the long weekend i.e. Saturday, 14 June, for U9 to U12 teams. Under 13s will not play as they leave for KZN on Monday, 16 June.
Best wishes for a good weekend.
Kind regards
GREG BROWN
