Dear Parents

GRADE 7 TOUR
We wish our Grade 7s and the nine staff accompanying them well as they leave for their KZN tour on Monday morning.

1st SEMESTER MARKS AND REPORTS
Final marks (with a full breakdown) are available now on MyBishopsLife and reports will be released on the last day of term, Thursday 26 June. See details below. The report is a very useful document with which to judge your son’s performance and attitude, as well as needs. As always, there is comprehensive feedback in terms of teachers’ comments. We do suggest you use this half-year summation to discuss your son’s progress with him, being realistic but also not accepting the mediocre.

Grade 3–7 reports may be accessed by selecting Reports from the Academic menu on MyBishopsLife. To view a breakdown of your son’s Semester 1 marks (Grades 4–7), please select the Academic menu and choose Marks from the drop-down provided. On the Marks screen, please click on each listed subject to view a detailed breakdown of your son’s results.

If you have any concerns or queries, please contact your son’s form or subject teacher at the beginning of next term to set up an appointment.

For your convenience, click here to log into MyBishopsLife Prep and Pre-Prep. Should you experience any login issues, please email portal@bishops.org.za.

NEWSLETTER
There will be no newsletter next week as it is a short week and I will be away in KZN with the Grade 7s. There will be a final communication on the Wednesday of the last week.

Enjoy the long weekend and Youth Day. Our assembly tomorrow will include a short presentation on the origins of Youth Day.

Origami Challenge

Inspired by the passion of a boy in grade 4P, Harry Brown, the library's theme for June is Senbazuru. This practice is rooted in a legend that anyone who folds a thousand cranes will be granted a wish. In Japan, the crane symbolizes longevity, happiness, and good fortune, and is often associated with wishing for recovery from illness. On our mission to fold 1000 cranes before Thursday 26th June, break up day, we are inviting any origami cranes to be made at home and sent in to the library in the next 3 weeks. We hope to meet our goal and display them beautifully as mobiles in the Library. Thank you in advance!
