Dear Parents

As we end Term 2, I reflect on the wonderful progress our boys have made. Our young boys have shown immense growth in both their academic and social development. It has been a joy to see them engage with their learning with such enthusiasm and curiosity. Their budding friendships and teamwork have been heartwarming to witness.

Important Reminders for Term 3

1.Term 3 Start Date and Time

Please note that Term 3 begins promptly at 08:00 on July 9th. We look forward to welcoming your sons back for another exciting term. Morning care continues to be available from 7:00

2.Updated Term 3 Calendar

The Term 3 calendar has been updated and is now available online. Please take a moment to review it. We ask that you refer to the online calendar for the most current information, as it may be updated throughout the term. Please avoid taking screenshots to ensure you always have the latest details. The calendar can be accessed through the Pre-Prep parents’ section on our website. Additionally, key dates will be published in our biweekly newsletters, so please stay tuned for those updates.

3.Sport Schedule and Sign-Up

The sports schedule for Term 3 remains the same as in Term 2. Please ensure your sons are signed up for the new term with their respective private service providers. Sports will commence on Monday 15 July and will end on Friday 13 September. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the boys’ engagement in our sports offering.

4. Winter Uniform

A gentle reminder that boys should return in their winter uniforms and with neat haircuts.

5.Attendance and Leave Days

We have noticed an increase in absences over the past few weeks. Please be reminded that there are a set number of leave days allocated for each boy during their Preparatory and then College journey. The boys may only be off for 14 days at the Pre-Prep and Prep. These leave days do not include sick days, which are of course understandable. Please remember to always inform your class teacher of your child’s absence. Regular attendance is crucial for your son’s continuous development and learning, so we appreciate your attention to this matter.

6.Mandela Day Arrangements

Looking ahead to Mandela Day on Thursday 18 July, please be aware that your son’s teacher will be in touch with specific details and arrangements for the day. It will be a wonderful opportunity for our boys to learn about the values of kindness, giving, and community service.

Wishing You a Safe and Enjoyable Holiday
As we break for the holidays, I hope you have a restful and enjoyable time with your families. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for a new term filled with learning, growth, and exciting adventures.

Wishing our Muslim families celebrating Eid al-Adha a blessed day on Monday 17 June. Wishing the following staff a happy birthday, Mrs Stuart on 9 June, Mrs Daames and Mr Julius on 14 June, Mrs Gedu and Ms Hendricks on 15 June, Mrs Band on 18 June, Mrs Tabata on 18 June, Mrs van Zyl on 5 July and Mrs Tandwa on 8 July. We hope our boys celebrating in the holidays have a wonderful birthday too.
