HIGHLIGHTS |
| Grade N |
 |
In Grade R we have been celebrating and getting excited about Easter! We have completed some beautiful art and have read the Easter story in class. Linked to the Easter story and what it means to us; we introduced the theme of Friendship. Our boys have made an extra effort to show kindness, compassion and care towards their peers. This was spotted on the playground by playing shared games. Some boys even had the opportunity to paint pictures with a special friend. Autumn is approaching and we had some lovely teamwork displayed by cleaning up a big pile of leaves. The Police and Fire Chief came to inspect the level of order! Thank you to our boys who have not only been a good friend but also been so helpful. We are proud of you all. To all our boys we hope you have a lovely holiday, and we look forward to seeing you in Term 2. |

The first term has truly flown by! Our boys have embraced their Grade N journey with great enthusiasm; exploring their new school, building friendships, and becoming familiar with their surroundings. It has been a joy to witness their growth and development throughout the term. Well done to all our champions!
A highlight for many was arriving at school to find the Easter Bunny’s footprints, adding a touch of magic and excitement to their day. We wish all our boys a happy and restful holiday, and to those celebrating Easter, may it be a blessed time for your families. |

The boys have reached the end of a busy and exciting first term, and what a wonderful journey it has been. To celebrate all their hard work, we enjoyed a memorable day at St James Beach, where curiosity and enthusiasm were on full display. The boys eagerly explored the rock pools, discovering the fascinating life hidden within. We were delighted to find sea urchins, starfish, barnacles and delicate sea anemones, and we were even lucky enough to spot an octopus tucked away among the rocks. Of course, there was also plenty of laughter and joy as the boys splashed in the water and enjoyed the fresh sea air. We have made excellent progress in our learning, particularly in learning to read. The boys are growing in confidence as they explore a wide variety of texts and begin to understand that reading is all around us. From books and stories to signs, labels and environmental print, they are learning to recognise and make meaning from the text they see every day. It has been wonderful to watch their excitement as they read familiar words and proudly share their discoveries. |
| Grade 2 |
 |
The last week and a half of Term 1 has been a wonderful and productive time for our Grade 2 boys. They have been consolidating all that they have learned this term and have thoroughly enjoyed working on their group projects about insects. Each member took on a specific role, and every group proudly produced a book on an insect we have studied.
The boys also consolidated their understanding of o’clock and half past by playing a matching memory game in small groups, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
On Friday, Mrs Green’s class went on their outing to Sillery Farm. The downpours of rain certainly added to the excitement of being outdoors in nature! The boys discovered a variety of insects, presented their findings, and worked together to create impressive bug hotels in their groups.
The Grade 2s also had their final swimming lesson for the term and enjoyed some well-deserved free time in the pool with their friends. |
