FRIDAY 15 June 2018
Dear Parents

Our Grade 7s, along with nine staff members including Mr Brown and Mr Groom, are enjoying their KZN tour. They have performed in two music concerts at Clifton Prep and at St Charles in Pietermaritzburg. The have also played hockey, rugby, chess, tennis and squash and finish off their inter school matches this afternoon playing rugby against St Charles. Tomorrow they embark on the cultural and adventure part of the tour. This is a very special nine days and a highlight in the boys’ final year at the Prep.

The only extra-mural activities next week will be fencing on Monday and U12A and B rugby practice on Monday and Tuesday in preparation for their matches against Selborne Primary on Thursday.

Saturday the 16th is Youth day and so there will be no school sport this weekend.

Our Muslim families are celebrating Eid. We wish them all a very special day.

We wish all our Dads a wonderful Father’s day on Sunday.

Kind Regards

Rob Riches

Rick the Bear
This week's deserving winners of Rick the Bear are the under 12B team. It was a great team performance in tough conditions against Bosch. Well done lads!

Passionate about education, diversity, transformation and Bishops we speak to Arthur Mngxekeza, Parent, OD and former recipient of the Hamilton Mvelase Scholarship. When asked how a Bishops education impacted his life he said the following words came to mind, “Manners; Integrity, Creating something from nothing; Repudiating all perceived injustices and Brotherhood.” These are certainly the values and attributes of a Bishops boy. These are the qualities we require from the leaders of our transforming society. To read more about Arthur, please see HERE.
