Dear Parents

This has been a week to remember for everyone at the Pre-Prep.  Monday kicked off with our family chapel service for all our boys and their parents.  What a superb message from Father Monwabisi and Mr Tsotso, about never giving up, giving our best and believing in ourselves.  It was wonderful to see a chapel full of parents too, who were able to share the service with us.  We will have another Family Chapel service towards the end of next term.

Wednesday was Open Day at the Pre-Prep. We had many visitors to our lovely school and the boys really made them feel welcome and were proud to show them what we do at the Pre-Prep.

Thursday was another highlight. From early in the day we started preparing for our Fun Sports Day and wow, how fabulous it all turned out to be. Thank you to all those parents who came to share the event, ran the races and helped make it a huge success. I am sure there are many sore muscles today but what a great evening.

Today TOGETHERNESS won.  From the start to the finish of the day, the spirit of Bishop Tutu led the way.  We welcomed 90+ VUSA creche children to our campus.  We were excited and ready, boys packed out activities to do with them and we were ready!

These delightful little people and the wonderful VUSA coaches, together with some teachers came along to enjoy the activities. Dalukhanyo Preschool, Gege's Creche and Nomonde, we thank you so much for taking the time to visit us. We do hope to see you all again soon!

A huge thank you to Col’Cacchio for their pizza donation for our visitors and PURA juice for their donation of boxes of juice.  A feast and lots and lots of play time left a large group of exhausted but content Bishops boys waving goodbye.

We have a few four day weeks coming up so please try not to keep your boys out of school on these days.  Each day is a valuable learning opportunity.

Wishing you a wonderful long weekend. We shall see you all on Tuesday for the last week of term.

Kind regards

PRE-PREP PRAYER GROUP
Message from our Youth Pastor

The Lord be with you

It has been a beautiful week as we shared our chapel space on Monday morning with the parents of our lovely boys. Together we reflected on the iconic Olympic race of Derek Raymond in 1992 and how he with conviction finished the race he had started and trained for.

Yesterday we were blessed with a fun day of sports. This event was a reminder of how important it is for us to work in cohesion with each other.

We ended the week commemorating the life of Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu. We were visited by the Vusa Academy children and teachers who shared our fields and playgrounds, a slice of pizza and an ice cream. It has been remarkable to look at playtime and sport, speak a language far beyond our vocabulary in uniting all people.

So together we pray that the spirit of unity trends in us and in our lives throughout this Lenten season, and we remember that our diversity unites us, in the name of Jesus.

Amen
